OFF TOPIC: NFL and Turf

as I'm sure there are Jets fans in this community and my 49ers have long blamed turf on some devastating injuries, I was just wondering if people here thought turf should be abolished in the league

the backlash is already beginning with NFL players and pundits alike after Rodgers achilles tear last night. One local ex-Cal QB analyst here (Pawlaski) directly blamed the turf immediately after the injury.

with a multi-billion industry relying on star power at QB, it seems insane to me that the NFL allows turf

for context, when the World Cup comes to America, there will be no artificial turf anywhere after the US Womens team successfully sued the FIFA in 2015 -- 8 arenas that will be used in 2026 that have turf will have the surfaces replaced with grass. That makes it even more confusing why the NFL not acting.

Finkelstein: Kayvaun Mulready is an absolutely ideal fit for Providence and Ed Cooley. He’s strong, tough, and physical. He plays both ends of the floor and is ultra-competitive. All of that screams Providence basketball under Cooley. Even from a personality standpoint, I think he is going to be a great fit with Cooley. In fact, I think that’s a big part of why Mulready decided to end his recruitment this early, despite the fact that he was only going to continue picking up new high-major suitors.
