This is an article today in Bloomberg Law discussing how boosters are gearing up to offer "lucrative deals" to top high school athletes to get them to go to certain universities of their desire, because of the TN court case issuing a preliminary injunction prohibiting the NCAA from enforcing their rules in this area. Right now it is a system without any guardrails as a result of this court case and other issues accoridng to the article (which is behind a paywall). At the same time, the NLRB is moving to make almost all college athletes into employees with all rights of employment (minimum wage, right to organize, right to collectively bargain, employee protections, leave rights etc.

We are dealing with a wild wild west situation right now.
