1) The Johnnies seem to be revived. Why?

Mike Anderson has done a great job at keeping the locker room together. Those guys understand they’ll be outmatched on the talent side most nights, but hustle requires no skill and that’s been the message pounded into the group all season. They’re seeing the rewards of the buy-in.

2) Has It become Dunn's team?

I hesitate to call it Dunn’s team. I don’t think any sole player has earn that label this season as several guys have stepped up at different moments with no one consistently grabbing the alpha dog role.

3) How are the Johnnies defending pivot size now? Are they better at it?

St. John’s sophomore Josh Roberts, the biggest guy on the roster at 6-foot-9 is out for the season with a shoulder injury and his frontcourt partner Ian Steere hasn’t quite made the leap from the JUCO level in his first year in Queens. The post is a huge area of weakness that can be exploited.

4) has the fam base accepted HC Anderson more

I think the fanbase is beginning to warm up to Mike Anderson after the (relatively) strong close to the season. He’s a proven winner that’s already picked up wins against West Virginia and Arizona and has had the team competitive against a handful of the Big East’s top teams.

5) who/what has adjusted foe the loss of Heron?

In the absence of Mustapha Heron, a handful of guys have stepped up with strong efforts from Nick Rutherford (19 pts vs Marquette) and Greg Williams (21p vs. Creighton, 17 vs. Marquette).
