Cope is growing?

Sophomore forward Isaac Copeland had a monster game, logging 18 points, nine rebounds and two rejections. In a highly inconsistent season for Copeland, a preseason All-BIG EAST selection, was this what Thompson expects from the Raleigh, NC native.

“Yes. And I thought from the very beginning, his energy and intensity was where it needed to be” replied the coach. “He just wasn’t out there looking for jump shots. He ran in there and got several offensive rebounds that gave us energy. He had a couple of blocks and a couple of good possesions.

“So this was exactly what I was talking about….And then as always is the case with Isaac, when he does those other things, all of the sudden his shot starts to fall. Hopefully he can see that pattern and continue to do that”.
