Want to find out more about Walker's recruitment, including what's extremely important to him, could he attend prep school next year and if so what are his plans this spring/summer, and how did Kansas State become aware of him? Visit our Premium Court message board for that insight.
what's extremely important to him?
trust. plain and simple. you have to be there, develop a relationship. the coaches who think they can zap in with a big name and scoop him, are tripping.
prep school?
yes. just deciding on where. if he gets his test score up he could go to school this year. BUT prep school is an option even if the score is achieved.
spring/summer plans?
If he goes to prep school...team loaded will again be his squad. it's worked for him, they've built trust. why change?
how did kstate become aware of him?
it's a cased study in relationships: hd woodson played lake clifton (bmore), coached by tree harried (former syracuse player and longtime bmore high school coach). harried called chester frazier, one of his former lake clifton players. frazier was a standout at illinois, due to his toughness, a real point guard.
Well harried told frazier he needed to see walker. frazier came down during the season and during the recent DCSAA semis (when hd beat gonzaga), and liked what he saw. he also saw boyd, who he also likes what he's seen.
kstate is recruiting both of them. hasn't offered yet, but is recruiting both.
