Sorry to be the bearer of sad news. Greg Pereira, aka Jahidi Hoya of HoyaTalk, passed away this week. I had no idea he was ill. Those of you who may have known him remember an avid Hoya fan who was well-known for wearing a Bulldog mask and a complete Hoya uni to every game he attended. And was often on the sideline. Greg lived in CT and was seen at almost every game at MSG - vs SJU and the BE tourney, as well as games v UCONN in Hartford or Storrs... and was always a pesky presence to Coach Calhoun. He would make the trek down to DC for particularly important games as well. Greg was only 43. A HoyaTalk poster said he died of cancer.
