from a number of sources. all 2nd hand obviously, but good sources
on the covid front
games are pointing towards being VERY restricted.
maybe 3 digits total in attendance.
no fans
mcdonough
no super duper media contingent. tv guys may be remote
everyone in attendance tested.
the ncaa...
has said if you get positives, that's a 14 day quarantine from play. for the program. football hasn't faced anything that extreme. terrible.
more covid stuff...
teams in the big east have already faced challenges
marquette has dealt with shut down due to covid
uconn is facing a situation currently. not widely known per a source
nova has faced an issue
seton hall as well.
get this...
there is vastly different approaches to fans in the stands.
gtown could be the MOST restrictive.
most will play on campus.
two notable possible exceptions are creighton and get this, the hall
creighton is talking pumping 10k into that gym of theirs. complaining about the 15m they will lose with no fans. what about safety??
the hall - and this is not firm but believed to happen, will play in prudential center? what???
right now the johnnies are playing in queens. nova in nova.
big east games...
i think they start around mid december in conference. both the johnnies and hall are believed to be faced before jan 1.
ooc...
believe it's like the 24th of this month or something. heard umbc starts it off. maybe radford later, somebody else, with coppin concluding the ooc slate.
ooc protocols
apparently the ncaa and big east are demanding ooc teams get tested before playing, with the cost of testing less rich schools being born by the big school, contractually.
