I am very disappointed at the results this season. My interest level has definitely died some. Normally, I tape every game and watch it when I get home after work/practice. This morning, I decided not to set the DVR. I just feel like I would rather hang out with my son (who has no interest in Gtown basketball) and wife when I get home than spend 75 minutes watching the game. I was considering trying to go to Maui in November. That has been shelved.
It sucks that without a deep BE Tournament run to finals and strong turnaround, or a BET championship, we are not going to NCAAs. However, I am equally, if not more concerned about what this season does to recruiting. I know we are involved with a number of high level recruits. They watch the same thing we do. I am not really any type of expert on the recruiting game, but I must imagine and fear that it will be a lot harder for the coaching staff to get them excited about becoming a Hoya after this season.
