exchange on officiating with jt jr commenting:
reporter: (hoyas faced) adversity form different angles, i think we know where..
jt3: where? tell me..no where?
reporter: (the officials).
jt3: Oh, okay.
jt jr: let your father comment on that shit, he can't get in trouble. They're not blind, they saw what happenned.
reporter: I asked diplomatically
jt jr: **** that. that's not diplomatic, the last two games there were some terrible calls. tell the ****ing commissioner and everybody else in the BIG EAST that I said that.
jt3: hold on, so I'll say (laughter)...During the course of the game we have to adjust to the officiating. You have to make adjustments to how they are calling the game. Sometimes it's more difficult than others, to adjust to how they are calling the game.
And tonight was one of those nights when for one reason or another we couldn't quite adjust to how they were calling the game.
but our guys fought and kept playing
jt jr: shut up.
jt3 on copes having career highs in rebounds & assists
that's what he has to do. and we've had this discussion. what i mean by that is he can't label himself just as a scorer or as a shooter, and decided he's in a rut or a funk because he's not scoring or shooting the ball well.
What he did today, he has to do other things. and he's capable of it. And he's good at doing other things.
That's not to say I don't need Isaac Copeland to score...Just play the whole game. And today he went out , from the very beginning made a concerted effort, to play the whole game...He wasn't just living and dying on 'My jumpshot'
And he's talented enough and skilled enough where he can have these games where he's got assists, the rebounds, the steals, the deflections, the communication on defense. And if he keeps doing that, the offense will come.

He makes plays. And what the world didn't see...You come into the timeout and he's telling everyone 'Calm down we're going to win. Calm down we're going to win'. It's one of those things where your frustrated with how things are going, and he's calming everyone down. And then he goes out and makes the plays to make us win.
And so he's one of the best in the country...And if you're coming down to the end, I'm going with him.

it's difficult to keep a guy like that in front of you in desperation mode. it's over if he doesn't go and make a play.
