Before the season started everyone including me thought that this season was going to be a pretty good team this yr. I always try to be a glass is half full kinda fan. Looking for positives. I think we had 2 things that worked against us this yr.
1- this team was hurt by injuries. We didn't know the extent of White and Agau injuries. No one knew that these 2 would be out for the yr. Until after the season started. This really hurt our depth in my opinion. With these inquires III has had to play guys that weren't necessarily ready for night in night out Big East play (Cameron, Johnson Derrickson and Mourning). Don't get me wrong thise guys named above can hold their own but I just don't think we're ready for extended mins...
2- Most guys on this board don't talk about the lack of experience that is on this roster. Aside from DSR and some young freshman from last yr, that's all III has had to call on this yr. Hayes, arguably our best post player didn't get any significant mins his first 3 yrs of play. So when we play other teams with experienced Jr/Sn's, that lack of experience will at some point rear it's ugly head...With the addition of White and Agau, who knows how this second could have turned out. I think we all can agree Campbell hasn't really improved much from last yr. Copeland and Peak are playing better as of recent, but need to be more consistent.
