We have 6 more games left in the BE, followed by the BE Tournament.
02/11: MARQUETTE
02/19: at Creighton
02/22: DEPAUL
02/25: at St. John's [1]
02/28: at Seton Hall
03/04: VILLANOVA
Think we need to win 5 of 6 to stay relevant in the tourney/bubble discussion. We aren't in the discussion now, but if we can find a way to string a few wins together, given our resume thus far, it could be interesting. Marquette, Depaul at home and St John's on the road are must wins. If we lose 1 of the rest, then we would probably need 1 or 2 wins in NYC. If we lose 2 games down the stretch, we will probably need 3 wins in NYC to be in the discussion. I think we can do 4-2 given the schedule remaining. Only Nova feels like a loss. Seton Hall and Creighton on the road are both really tough games, but winnable. Adding a Nova win to the resume would be huge.
Our current resume:
RPI - 61, SOS 8, NON-Conf SOS 21, 3-6 vs Top 25 with our worst RPI loss being Arkansas State, who is RPI 82.
Not sure how this is going to end, but not feeling good about our chances... i'm worried about maintaining a better than 500 record at this point. Need all 3 guys (Pryor, Peak and Govan) to play great to beat a really good team and at least 2 of them playing well to beat an average team.
