I've been begging for this for a long time. For me, this might be a season-saving move. And it has nothing to do with what TC is but what DSR and Peak are not.

I posted a week or so ago that I thought Peak could be a "microwave" type player for us. And for at least tonight, he sort of did that.

I also think when DSR can start the game off ball, it sets the tone for him.

The offense, while still rough, had much more motion and passing than the last handful of games. We also had a lot of very open shots which is what the mid-majors have been doing to us.

Interior defense was tragic in the first half and I for one noticed that Hayes and Govan stayed home a lot in the second half. I'm going to assume this was an adjustment made by JTIII which is very exciting.

I also see something big in Govan. I think once he learns to start trying to ram everything he gets near the bucket he is going to improve. He got a great pass tonight and could have jumped and flushed but instead put it on the ground and got fouled. He seems to be in the right place often and just isn't quite sure of how to use his body yet.

This team and its coaching staff were on the spot tonight and they delivered. It may not have looked to pretty but they did what they had to do. Like Otto, I'm still waiting for that one breakout game for Ike to send him to the next level. We got half of that tonight so maybe that's enough.

So what did people think of TC starting tonight. On paper to me it's a minor move but in reality I think it could generate big results.
