watched their game with usc. this is what i got:
offense
high center ball screen action, with lifts on both sides
looks for early offense as they are not teh most efficient half court team
...pick up rock early. make them make plays
5 out
sometimes 5 out but w screeners on lane
will go 4 around 1 with obinna
...play straight up, again make them execute
....pressure the ball. not efficient
defense
helpside man
will trap at half court, then scramble
...make that third pass and you have a wide open shot if they scrable 2nd or 3rd frfr. accept the pressure
3/4 court zone press
will switch up top 1 thru 4/5 especially when obinna not in.
pegging on pick and roll sometimes
..hit the midrangers. they are open
...get into the paint off pass and pat. challenge stj defense that way, with finish or kick
....iso bigs especially when obinna is not in.
...be patient in paint. likely a one on 1 situation
personnel
obinna - grad transfer center - was suprisingly dominant. posts. goes over left shoulder, boxes out. physical. rebounds
...play that left shoulder. hit him every play keeping off glass. he's a load. played very well vs usc
funk - sr f - big that spaces floor. elite shooter. picks and pops alot
klacek - frosh f - multi skilled, will bring ball down. played some small ball c
reynolds - frosh g - can be an off schedule scorer. pulls up, quick.
