We are on the hook for 11 scholarships next year as of right now. So at the very least they have room to add 2 portal guys. That said, I would be shocked if there are no transfers out. Statistically, nearly every D1 team has attrition.
Too early to speculate on portal guys. There will still be a few guys out there with covid years to play, so could get some 5th-6th year vets. After their freshman year seems to be when a lot of guys leave, so I'd imagine that Fielder/Brumbaugh won't be the only ones with sophomore eligibility.
A lot has been rumored that Georgetown is gonna be a major player ($$ wise) in the portal. I really hope so. I think this year has reinforced for Cooley just how much he needs "his kinda guys" in there. The current team is talented, but maybe doesn't have that hard/tough edge that Cooley really wants.
