eric bossi:

"The transformation of Waters game over the past few years has been impressive to watch. Early on in his career, he was almost purely a scorer first and a playmaker second" said Bossi, who sees and analyzes the nation's top players. "As he has matured, it has been impressive to watch him adjust his game and learn to trust that when he makes those around him look better, he looks better and his team wins more games."

Continuing, Bossi noted "It was never an issue of him not being able to make plays for others, Waters has always been a tremendous passer. However, when he was younger you would see a pretty direct correlation between his shot falling and him making plays for others. When his shot was dropping, he was a terrific playmaker. When his shot wasn't falling, he would then struggle with his decision making and passing. To see him work past that and evolve as a point guard has been impressive."

"Obviously, Waters isn't the biggest point guard around and on top of being a sub six-footer he is lacking in strength. Clearly, he has to get stronger and that needs to be his priority. He doesn't lack toughness though and he has the tools, shooting ability and high basketball IQ to be a terrific point guard at Georgetown and he's capable of making a pretty significant impact off the bat."

Good pick up for Hoyas. I like Waters a lot. Kid is tough. he has an alpha leadership quality. Super quick. Efficient. Responsible with the ball. Good defender. Passes and sets guys up well. And wasn't a bad shooter the few times I watched him.
