we have about twenty 1989 grads on an email thread that's been going on since email threads became a thing

a handful are or were season ticket holders --a few donate and even more would

this group has a few people who should be the target market for being boosters of the program

And like here on Hoyareport, I lean to the glass half full with two others. Most of guys are somewhere in the middle. And there are two guys that are just glass half Chernobyl.

we have been discussing what this team would be if a "better" coach was in charge. I won't be able to define what "better" actually means but for the purpose of our group discussion we are using Beilein since two of the guys went to Michigan law school.

the consensus of the group is that there is enough talent on this team to be much better. Most felt that the team would only have one loss and would be blowing most of these cupcakes out.

from what I've seen from subbing rotations, perimeter defense, taking care of the ball and other problems it's hard for me to argue

I'm trying to hang in there as a Hoya apologist, but this team has me scratching my head. I'm convinced we should be much much better. I completely HATE the subbing patterns and how kids aren't being able to get into the flow of the game. I'm fully on board with the recruiting efforts so far but it's not translating on the court.

And in my humble opinion, if we don't right the ship I do not see very many league wins. It's easy to be an armchair QB. That said, I'm a GSW season ticket holder and I watch a ton of NBA and NCAA games. It's very easy to see the difference between an organized rotation matching kids who perform well with each other on the court compared to the absolute mess we have right now. Most teams on the planet have a crunch time lineup. Ours changes by the minute and often with no rhyme or reason.

Thoughts? I need help. I'm feeling Esherick and JT3 vibes all over again.
