It appears that the Hoyas are still "in the running" for three players, only one of whom is likely to join. Here's my take.
Baldwin seems like the least likely and has the most upside. Choices? 1.Duke, 2. dad's college team UW at Milwaukee 3. GU.
Tres Mitchell. Do we have any idea where this one stands and how likely Tres plays next season for the Hoyas? From what I have read of his game and a few videos, it appears he has the most potential of the three to deliver big time for the Hoyas. Sure, a top recruit like Baldwin has a higher ceiling, but when adding "likelihood" to the equation, I'd move him to #2.
Pickett. Have you heard anything about this Ron? Does he really want to return? Who makes the decision now? If it's Pat choice, does he wait until hearing from the other two? If Pickett ends up as the only one of the three who is actually on the team? My take is he will be a major plus. We all know the team is short one guy who can play the 4 and has a 3 pt shot in his arsenal, which Jamorko does. Other things he has? 4 years of absorbing Hoya "culture". 4 years working with Pat. 4 years of learning Ewing's D. and a key man in an unbelievable stretch run of 4 games to pull off a HUGE upset and secure a BET title for coach, team and school. He would provide continuity. As starters, can we assume Carey returns? and Harris and Pickett? That would be 3 of 5 starters and added to those three would be two newcomers - Aminu and King would be our new starters. And we would have far more depth across the board then we did this past season.
Thought Ron and everyone?
