The real season starts on Wednesday night. I am really looking forward to seeing what this team does.
The way we have played recently doesn't make me feel great heading into the BE schedule, but all of that is forgotten come Wednesday.
I figure we need 11 wins at a minimum to get an NCAAT berth. We have a great starting schedule on paper.
At DePaul, Marquette, at Creighton, DePaul, at SJU
You don't want to get too far ahead of yourself, but I think the DePaul game is pretty much a must win. I also think we need to start 4-1 before we play Nova and at Xavier.
I know we can sit here and come up with all these different scenarios for us to win games, but to me a 4-1 start and 11 BE wins are my focus. Sure we can win less than 11 but get big wins over X or Butler or Nova or Provy, but to me it is unlikely we only get 9 or 10 BE wins yet win a 3 or more over those 4 teams.
To me the start of the BE season is HUGE. The position we have put ourselves in says to me we must win minimum 11 BE games (barring a BET win) to get an automatic NCAAT berth.
