That thread in which we are all recording our favorite memories has made me take stock in the fact that over the last 35 years, this program has given some incredible (and some not so incredible) moments to the fans that support it through thick and thin. It frustrates me how the last few years have gone but since I was a kid, I can think of so many great, exciting, important and amazing wins I was able to cherish as a fan and witness in the stands or on tv. I always say Gtown basketball is my first love. There haven't been that many lean years since the early 80's though the lack of recent tournament success has been especially hard to deal with. We are at a point now where the program is in as bad a shape as most of us have ever seen. There is a lot of apprehension and some negativity regarding Ewing's hire. If the history of this program is a guide, Ewing and his new staff will dig their way out of this mess and restore Georgetown to a position of prominence. I'm not saying this with any delusion, I just believe in the program, that this is a place of historic basketball greatness, and that we will get the players needed to get us all back to enjoying what Georgetown basketball has meant to us all.
