As we know a group of students occupied an office near the president of gtowns. Their demands centered around the school's business ties with Nike and the latter's abhorrent business practices.. Incl child labor abuse , no employee protections, terrible working conditions, substandard pay etc. These fly in face of what gtown professes as its guiding principles.
Per a good source it surprisingly doesn't impact the athletic department as one would presume..the students are in protest of what are basically licensing and marketing agreements.. Including selling Nike products in the school store.
The students are not reportedly addressing Nike's role as athletic department sponsor..which frankly is a bedrock now and in the past of Hoya ball.
Wonder why the kids didnt connect those dots
