To me an NIT bid would be in important and useful step in both recruiting and for the program as a whole. It is a marker of progress over the last two seasons. Moreover, the way we have been playing lately, we have potential to win some games in NIT.
We are 14-10 with 5 games left, plus BET. If we can win 2 of 5, our final record is 16-13 going into BET. IMHO that is a almost a lock for an NIT bid. I hope we can do that but to do so will likely require a win at Hinkle tomorrow. If we can win 1 of 5, then we likely need to win the opening BET game to give us a good chance at an NIT bid. If we go winless, I think we are in trouble without a BET run.

Of course, If we win 4 of 5 and end up 18-11 and then win at least two BET games, we are on the NCAA bubble. At this point though, I think I will focus on NIT :)
