john naso of rivals.com's novaillustrated supplied insight, once again.
1) Given the catastrophic injuries recently suffered, where do you think team and fans are emotionally? Are people still bullish on the school's prospects?
The team is good and remains confident. Fans on the other hand are concerned. I don't get the sense that expectations are very high, i've seen some go as far as not expecting a win tomorrow.
2) What roster changes do you expect at PG? Schematically what do you expect from Wright?
I'd expect Chris Arcidiacono to get the start at pg. I also expect a pg by committee, especially when Arcidiacono is on the bench. Likely a combination of Caleb Daniels, Jermaine Samuels and Jeremiah Robinson-Earl. Robinson-Earl played point for the remainder of the first half of the Creighton game when Gillespie went down and did well. In terms of scheme, I think they'll try to stick largely to what they do. The area I'd watch for signs of trouble is getting situated at both ends of the floor. I'll be watching to see if they can get into their sets smoothly offensively and find their man/spot defensively before Georgetown can exploit any confusion or delay.
3) Tell us about Bryan Antoine's journey.
Antoine has had an incredibly tough road. From missing spring/summer and then most of his freshman year to again missing spring/summer this year due to covid and then the start of the season with another injury, he's had such a hard time just trying to learn the concepts let alone contribute. It's great to see him out there, and he clearly has the talent, so it's just a matter if when can he get comfortable and start relying on instincts again.
4) Outcome?
I see a close game. Georgetown really gave it to Nova for a half in the first meeting and held tough in the second meeting and I think the Hoyas present some challenges for Nova. I do think Nova will be looking to prove something and really try to establish some momentum. I see Nova pulling out a close win, but wouldn't be surprised if Georgetown pulls the upset either.
