As a player; very athletic, high upside. As his aau coach said matt has to pat better, more straight line driver. Not the best in open court, under pressure. Is improving though. Not a change of pace patter.
Can shoot, though not knockdown. Can defend solidly, has the physical ability to be high level stopper
Needs to not disappear, which he can. Play hard all the time. Not a loafer, but just disappears sometimes.
Mid atlantic select has run him some at point to develop his decision skills.
Recruitment:
Hoyas were showing love, want him to prep, as does uconn. He and his family, particularly the latter, are not feeling that.
Will commit early.
Hoyas not showing as much attention as before…kid hasn’t totally, but somewhat moved on.
Hoyas told him they have five schollies for next year.
Bottom line, not as much momentum from both sides at this point.
