Georgetown Men’s Basketball to Hold Open Tryouts on Saturday, September 29
WASHINGTON - Head Coach Patrick Ewing announced today that the Georgetown men's basketball team will hold open tryouts for any currently enrolled students who may be interested in walking on to the team. The tryouts will be held in McDonough Arena on Saturday, September 29 at 9 a.m.
Before attending the tryout, there is mandatory paperwork that must be completed. Students interested in trying out must email Emanuel Reid in the Georgetown men’s basketball office at emanuel.reid@georgetown.edu in order to receive the paperwork. Other items that must be submitted include proof of health insurance and a copy of a complete medical physical within the last six months, including sickle cell tests. Students also must bring a copy of their Georgetown University academic transcript and class schedule.
All paperwork must by turned in no later than Thursday, September 27 at 4 p.m. Students will be informed individually if they are eligible to attend the walk-on tryouts.
