I knew ESPN laid off people. I was just stunned to hear that Chad Ford was one of them. Then I looked at who else was let go and it's a who's who of sportswriters.
Then I read an article that ESPN lost 10 million subscriptions and Fox Sports lost 5 million. And as a DirecTV customer I am confused. How exactly are they losing these subscriptions? I thought ESPN and FS1 etc were just part of the package. Are people just streaming stuff right now or is the market over-saturated?
I see a ton of people I read on my ESPN Insider list are going to be gone in a month. I doubt I'll keep it.
Then I think what this means to the Big East future dealings with Fox or whomever?
Can somebody make some sense of this for me?
