this is from watching some of the xavier game...

mu offensively:

hunting jumpers/threes. including some new cat named frooling...a big. he's skilled and seems fairly aggressive. keys it at times vs zone. with him, they are not soft inside anymore it would seem

they crazy space...like three/four cats outside the three point line damn near all the time.

as a result, guys like rowsey and howard will drive, where they will kick. and they have shooters to take advantage.

rowsey likes going downhill. and will pull from ANYWHERE! you ahve to stat attached to that guy.

hoyas should...

as i said, stay attached to rowsey. help is limited due to spacing. stay in front of your man. the bigs have to wall off to protect rim, where possible.

i wouldn't zone...hoyas hate it (ewing) anywhere, b/c mu can shoot.. from mad deep.

big game for derrickson. he has to battle frooling and hawes...on the perimeter. can't give them give looks

mu defensively:

lot of man. some 1 3 1...but a lot of man in first half

nothing spectacular. didn't see pressure, but that doesn't mean they don't do it.

hoyas should:

pound the middle. feed govan/derrickson EVERY play.

screen and roll...make these guys actually defend

attack rowsey. make him spend energy and effort.

they are gonna need easy baskets..get stops and run!
