we are currently 13-6 and 3-5. We have 10 games left. I think the somewhat realistic goal is to be 3-7 in these games. That puts us at 16-13 and 6-12 going into BET and in my mind virtually guarantees us an NIT berth. However 3 wins with our remaining schedule will be challenging.
If we go 2-8 we are 15-14 and 5-13 which still likely gets us an NIT berth but we may have to win a BET outbracket game to seal it.
If we only win 1 we go 14-15 and 6-14 and I think in that case NIT is unlikely unless we pull off two BET wins.
Tomorrow’s DePaul game is very important if NIT is a goal of this squad and I imagine it is.
