A few points coming from the season stats . . .
Mourning was terrible on shot selection. Shot 43% from field and 17% from 3 this year. My gosh. Be glad to have that gone.
Mac desparately needs to improve his 3 point shot. 28% is miserable. He also had more turnovers than assists. That cannot happen. He needs to move the ball more and be smarter about it and cut his turnovers way down.
James needs to improve his decision making around the basket. That is why he did not even have a 2-1 assist to TO ratio and shot worse from 2 then from 3. That cannot continue.
Blair - 96 of his 117 shots were 3 pointers. That young man needs to diversify his game in the off season . One trick pony aint gonna cut it.
THese are just the offensive statistics that demonstrate where improvement must occur. The defense needs even more work. We have the potential to be very good next year no doubt. however, it aint just gonna come with another top level recruit. There is plenty of work to be done by our returning guys and these stats only illustrate some of the areas.
