During a night junior center Malcolm Wilson scored more points (nine) than he had during any of his last 14 games, he impressed his coach. The slender pivot started, and played well.
Per Ewing, he "did a pretty good job. Got a couple of blocked shots (two)". Generally Wilson, hailing from South Carolina displayed a penchant to "make plays", after which Ewing cited "especially one in front of our bench, where he was able to hit if off one of their guys and we were able to get the ball back". The coach also shared Wilson "did a pretty good job for the 12 minutes that he played".
