For more on the game, including DSR's thoughts on having both sophomores [db]Tre Campbell[/db] and [db]Paul White[/db] available, see Premium Court. Also there is Thompson expounding on whether his team seeing so much zone against UMES and preceding foe Bryant, as well as he and DSR's initial thoughts on facing Syracuse on Monday.

dsr on pw and tc being back:

"i think it's great. I think they are key parts to what we are going to do this year".

went on to laud their defense...don't see that with pw but whatever. and pw's passing...i see that.

thompson thought tc played pretty well.

jt3 sees benefit to seeing so much zone recently?

we will see. i thought their zone was effective, just b/c it's unorthodox...It's easy to sit here and say, 'The last two games you played against a zone'. But what Bryant did and how they played their zone is different from Maryland Eastern Shore, and that's different from how Syracuse plays it.

So yes you've gone against a zone. But each one I think we're going to look at a few different things to attack, a few different ways to attack it..

he expanded it...

"...It's easy with Syracuse to focus on and say 'Oh their defense. Their zone, their zone'. They are a very good offensive team. And so what we do down the other end, how we get stops, is as important as how we attack whatever defense they play".

DSR on playing syracuse

"we need another win. We need another win. Especially Syracuse".

jt3 on playing syracuse

"...I'm going to look at them tonight. I actually saw part of one of their games..Saturday's Georgetown-Syracuse. All this other stuff goes out the window. It's Georgetown-Syracuse".
