There are clearly three tiers in our conference

Top Tier - 4 Teams - All likely to qualify for NCAA and are vying for Big East regular season crown
SJU, Marquette, Creighton, UConn

Bottom Tier - 3 teams in the basement who will finish with losing records overall and wins in the league are few and far between. Thankfully we are no longer in this tier
DePaul and new members Butler and SHU

Middle Tier - 4 teams
All sitting at 5-6 in league and all sitting with at least .500 records overall. All have been wildly inconsistent and are capable of beating anyone or losing to anyone.
Gtown, Providence, Nova. X

These are the teams we are fighting for to try to get that fifth seed or certainly not worse than the sixth seed. Head to head games are X tomorrow, Providence on 19 Feb and Nova on March 4. These are the KEY games for me. If we can win all three of these key games, we should be in a very good position. Both are home after tomorrow's game in Cincy. We will need fans to support us there. Even if we can just take 2 of those three and not falter in our remaining games against SHU (8 Feb), at Butler (15 Feb) and at DePaul (8 March) we should be guaranteed a sixth seed by going no worse 5-4 in the last nine games and may have a decent shot at the 5 seed depending on how other teams do and whether we can pull an upset at Creighton at Uconn and home v. Marquette. If we win less than 2 of the KEY games, we will have our work cut out for us and probably need to pull at least one upset to get a seed of 6 or higher.
