Offense
Five out. Will skip/dive bigs, particularly Sims. Iverson cuts Ramey. Can get into some motion, with lifts, drifts and flares. Uses spacing for entry
Backcuts out of five out also
Will quick shot 3 and quick drive – not afraid of early offense. Not afraid of pushing rock
Went 1-4 with Ramey. He’s strong, gets downhill
Sims rolls to basket. Baker pops, including from three. Latter slumped this season shooting
Hoyas should…
Zone, but hoyas don’t zone
Don’t oversuck when Sims posts…imo let Yurts guard him mano mano. The guy is not that good, so stay attached to your man. They want to get you reacting. Make Sims make plays
Coleman and ramey make it happen for them. Wing forward guy liddel can shoot the ball. Leblanc/pickett has to neutralize him. Same for akinjo and either ramey/coleman. Which leaves the other guard position…can’t have matador defense from mcclung. Those guys can chew him up.
If baker pops from three…hand in face defense. But make him make shots. Confidence seems down.
Press at times. Disrupting rhythm. Trap Liddell. Maybe ice the guards, so they don’t get downhill. Of course get back on defense…and track your man immediately, they will search for early offense.

Played some matchup zone where they almost maned up front. One time had sims up top to trap.
Played man…sims shows pick and roll hard. Iced ball screens at time out of man
1 2 1 1 press, trapping first pass but overall not a hard trapping scheme
Hoyas should…
Spread court and cut, especially when Baker is in there. He’s not helping well.
Iso bigs…both should struggle vs yurts
Slip bigs regularly (means you have to threat to pass the ball), as help from five man can be suspect
Move ball. No ball sticking. Search the open man, there will be. Cut, as their help kind of sucked.
Use pistol/handoff to get downhill…then find the weakside cutter or drop off guy. People have to move also
I suspect to see more zone b/c of yurts. So shots have to be made.
Push, make ut breakdown in transition.
