The Reasons We Were Not As Good As Hoped

Really the reason we are not able to challenge Nova, Xavier etc. for a top 4-5 spot in Big east and win 20 plus games boils down to two main reasons in my opinion:
1. Front court injuries - we would have been a materially better team if Sorber was not playing hurt at times and then not injured for last month of season and Julius was not injured for entire season. Those were huge blows.
2. Performance from 1 and 2 spots - Mack and Epps simply did not perform as well as expected and then we have no depth at those positions. I expected Mack to be one of the top 4 pg in the conference. He is not. I expected Epps to challenge for HM all conference. That is not happening. Neither had strong seasons.

Orlando

Reports out that we will join BYU, Miami and Dayton in Orlando for a four team MTE thanksgiving week. This would be a very solid tournament. BYU will have AJ Dybansta and Xavion Stanton out of Utah Prep as freshmen. I believe Dayton got Aaron McKie's kid coming in. PG from Philly. Do not know much about Miami as they are in flux with coaching change

Transfers for 25/26

The recruiting for next year's transfer class and transfer portal will open in about six weeks. There may be less people in it because their are much fewer players affected by Covid year. However, if Juco does not count for eligibility, that could increase the player pool.

Here is one Grad Transfer player, I would be eyeing if we need more front court help and Sorber/Julius/Fielder and Seal are not all staying:
Unfortunately, he was unable to play this year due to preseason shoulder injury. He has announced that he will use his graduate year. Canadian kid. Very athletic
