fall practice notes day 23, 10.31.24

session was a teaching one, though there was some up and down

faced pace. guys are doing better

hoyas are definitely looking for early offense.

fielder - played really well. shot, rebounded, led running, talked, displayed effort and toughness. curve still upward for this guy
sorber - solid and active
peavey - old guy is the adult. slashed hard
epps - shot well. showed leadership
mack - looks like he belongs
mckenna - seemed to simplify things
caleb w - defended, passed
cwill - seemed at ease. strapped
julius - continues to show he can help when in shape
mulready - looked 100%. banged some j's. led
burks - was focused, defended and rebounded

Day 21, 10.28.24, fall practice notes

general stuff:

fast paced, detailed practice

stressed: rebounding, pace, easy buckets, defensive placement

plaeyrs

jules - first i've seen him up and down. at rim type guy, trying to get in better shape. right now, he's a very skilled big. need to get in better shape to be more physical, particularly putting his shoulder into defenders to stun sorber, who was eating his shot at times. i think jules will help in january. which is a good thing.

mulready - nursing ding

seal - got into the physical drills. is working hard

epps - shot well

sorber - contineus wo impress. protects the rim and lets uyou know

jordan - was relatively quiet.

mack - is ascending in stature and importance

Was Saturday

General looks

Mulready. Controlled 2nd hakf. Hit jumpers. One time even turned after shooting a 3 and ran back down coirt. Man of the game

Sorber - stout and active

Fielder- was a beadtbfor a stretch. Actovr and aggressive in paint. Best he's played

Epps - not scintillating. Kinda just threre

Mack - score and was across. Over pemetrated too much

McKenna- quiet

Burks - was working early but team went away from him

Peavy - shot from decently. Did his adult and strapping up thing

it was a technical, teaching session. no real up and down, only 5 v 0 full court...periodically.

worked a new zone, added to additional offensive sets, reviewed existing ones, drilled both sides of the ball, worked on press, slobs.

was a scrimmage, preceeded by drill sand walk throughs. the teams split, with blue (a) winning by about 20 first half, grey taking it by like 4 points
