Gtown Press

While I like the fact that the Hoyas are 3/4 pressing more, this press is flawed. They get good pressure on the sideline but the rotations are simply not there. They rarely cut off the first direct pass and the that defender is always late. THen the direct pass is made and a 4 v. 3 ensues. If the Hoyas are going to press they need to commit to early rotations and being in the proper position or it will remain ineffective

What are you guys thoughts about the way he played last night?

Personally I thought he got tired last night. He played 44 out of 45 mins last night. Not sure way but Ewing didn’t use his bench much at all last night. I thought Murray showed some potential but when he got tired he started getting lazy and his bad body language/emotions started to show. I know not having Heath factored in to this but the Heath situation may not be solved for weeks from now.

what dixon said about murray

on murray

"He's a great talent. I mean SEC as a freshman, he got 10 (ppg) with great percentages. So we wanted to put our best defender on him which was Nendah Tarke.

He didn't shoot the ball great, seven for 21. But he made some threes, early; we allowed him to get in a rhythm .

He's going to be great for Pat. I wish him all the best - Baltimore kid. Gotta wish him all the best".
