Inside the political donation history of wealthy sports owners
American professional sports owners have contributed nearly $47 million in federal elections since 2015.
With so many top athletes taking political stances these days, I wonder if some would actually use this type of data to decide who to sign with at free agent time. I know in my field (legal) the political leanings of a law firm or firm leadership definitely factor in when lawyers decide what firm they wish to align their practice with. It would be interest to see if this filters down in any way in this regard.
