He is a very good 3 point shooter. Much respect for his ability to shoot the 3 ball. However, after watching the last few games, it is utterly apparent that the rest of his game is way below the level needed for big time basketball. His defense is horrid but on and off the ball. His ball handling is very weak and often results in turnovers when teams pressure him. When shots go up, he often does not get back or go in for the offensive rebound, but instead just watches the shot from where he lies. His decision making is questionable when not under pressure and poor when under pressure (unless he has an open 3 in which case he takes it). Rice would not start on any good big east team. he would be coming in the game solely as a 3 point specialist when shooting was necessary. As much as I have been impressed with his shooting, I am really disappointed in his other skills I am sure he is a great kid, but I just do not like his complete game.
