is x game a litmus test of team's development...and what happened.

"I hope we're at that point (of development). We moved fast. There were times this year when I felt like we were stuck in in the mud; we'r enot moving, the ball is sticking, we're not pushing one another. In that game we had fast ball movement and fast body movement, which weve been trying to get them to do.

"I don't know if it's a case where we're slowly getting to the point they're not thinking, they're just playing, so they move faster. I just think the ball moved fast in that game. And when that heppened with the players that we have, it's hard to guard".

win bringing confidence?

"I'm telling our guys that, yes. I don't think we ever were not confident...Just about every game against a top team w'eve lost...it's little things. We're close. it's not like there's gaping holes or gaping deficiencies. It's little things in each game.

"And so in this game, we did a much better job of negating the little mistakes...We have film study...We're not just going to look at them but look at us and say 'In X point, we didn't do this. In Xavier we did to this and try and reinforce that just to understand tit's the little things .

"to go in and win that game, against that team this year, is a big win. They're very good".

at x attacked 1 3 1 from elbow well. pt of emphasis?

No we had practiced that. We thopught we saw something there And I think our guys also did agood job of executing. And then also getting it into the low block, and using that as a passing area. I thought B.J. and Jessie also, made some good plays from that posisiotn.

but we thought we could tweak it to where we could get it right there...but once you get it there, you have to make a play. You can't script who you throw it too.

x's 1 3 1 is unique, big man at bottom. how rare?

"I haven't seen anybody play it like that...You say 1 3 1 but it's totally different than how everyone else plays it; they want to get the big guy to protect the basket. And they do a good job, particularly 55 up top.

"If you go into it trying to attack it like one would attack a traditional 1 3 1" he doesn't see success coming. .

vs X only four turnovers cause...you want more?

"Every coach would say 'Oh, we'd love to have more turnoers'. But that's not part of our game plan going into it, 'Let's cause more turnovers'. Let's just make sure we're not turning the ball over. Let's make sure we're getting good shots...

on peak:

"Someone who I thought was terrific was L.J. When there was a loose ball and we needed it...He's coming up with big rebounds. He had a big block, then D'Vaunte smacked it to him and then he gets the dunk. he made plays, when we needed plays , and we won that game.

"it's easy to talk about Tre, Tre was terrific...D'Vaunte does what he does, and he was terrific, . But L.J Peak made the plays, the winning plays, the playes that don't show up in the box score, that allowed us to win that game that we hand't been making consistiently enough in those other games".
