murray, of cuse confidential answered some questions
1) how is Syracuse attacking offensively, outside of Boeheim shooting jumpers?
Offensivly the Orange are able to attack at all levels this year. Syracuse still likes the three, but Quincy Guerrier, Marek Dolezaj and the addition of Alan Griffen are tough to stop on the inside.
speaking of boeheim, how is his energy level? how many years does he have?
The energy level of Jim Boeheim does not change. He is just as active now as he was in 2003 when Syracuse won the championship. As for when he walks away nobody really knows. It seems there could be a real chance that Jim leaves when Buddy leaves.
I saw parts of a few games. looks like the zone is longer and more active than last year. is that accurate?
At times the Syracuse zone gets really long. When freshman Kadary Richmond comes off the bench it gives the Orange that length they have had in the past. His defense at the top of the zone is solid, he is always in passing lanes and a threat to get steals.
from what I saw pg is probably the weakest position grouping. accurate?
I would say center is the weakest. Dolezaj is the only healthy center right now. If he goes out there is not a solid back up at this time. The point guard spot has options with Joe Girard and Kadary Richmond.
are the fans clamoring for any eventually beoheim coaching choice?
I wouldn't say clamoring, but the chatter is increasing. The questions in recruiting going forward comes into play because nobody has an idea of when he is leaving. Do prospects want to play for a coach that may or may not be there when they arrive.
