I thought ultimately the key to the game was DSR playing the 2 because of TC's 26 minutes. TC may not fill up the stat sheet but the offense looks pretty damn good when he's in there.
If you watch the game again, you see that a lot of times DSR does a ball fake when he catches the ball to a shooting position. He then assesses and shoots or passes. That's fine as your catch and shoot guy but not as your PG.
Basically, I love him on the wing. Not at the top of the key. We are kind of lucky with guys that can get up the shot quickly -- namely DSR, Ike and believe it or not Hayes. MD has kind of a set shot with a pretty high release it seems.
So I love the 26 minutes JTIII gave TC but it seemed as though it was at the expense of LJ Peak and his foul trouble.
I was just wondering if people think this offense actually runs considerably smoother with TC over LJ. It sure seems that way to me.
I also wanted to comment on the Radford and Syracuse over-reaction points on the in game thread. All I wanted to say is that, after seven games, this team seems to be an improving one. We started the season injured and very raw (young), and we seem to be getting more into the flow every game. I'm pretty happy about where we are right now. I know there will be letdowns. I know there will be growing pains. But I'm all in for this team. I like the kids a lot. Nobody on the team really makes me cringe. That's pretty rare.
