cuse offensively:
they like to get guys slashing to cup. five out, with pick and roll. will replace with euro guy (who is their only really good shooter. the other starting wings will make shots though)..
brissett is the wild card. can drive and finish. three ball suspect.
use bigs primarily for screening.
antidote:
communicate. mix pick and roll coverages between strong hedge and zoning it (soft hedge). perimeter defenders keep guys out lane. stay attached on off ball movement.
gtown bigs have some leeway, as cuse's bigs don't really post or even catch ball rolling to cup.
cuse defensively:
will token 2 2 1 back to 2-3 matchup. obviously their zone changes. so you have to change. at a base level it's narrow up top and the wings range forward a lot.
antidote:
attack zone from middle, where you can shoot, drive, high low and get behind zone, short corner, reverse. trigger man in middle must be patient. it opens up if you are.
can even post low, where they don't defend well. have to be patient to ...shift defense via pass/pat, then dump down.
