Everyone recognizes that we are a poor defensive team.
Who are our best scorers, not 3 point shooters, but pure scorers? I say Aminu and Dante, when you do not just rely on 3 point shots. In the last four games (since Feb 1) Aminu is shooting 19-55 (34%) and Dante is shooting 12 for 45 (27%). Even if we play really good defense, we are not going to win many game with a pg shooting 27% and our best scoring wing, who does not take many 3 point shots shooting less than 35%. Combine this with the fact that teams have figured out we cant score in the paint and are guarding us tighter at the 3 point line so over the last 4 games we are only shooting 32% from outside the arc in February.
These are FACTS. This team has problems in many many areas and it is not just defense.
