gleaned from their johnny and villy games:

watson the pg. philly pg, guy, pushes tempo, leads jays. speeds up and down the court. makes good decisions. talks. good player. drives to find, can hit wide open three though

attack him by posting and/or rising over him. they will bring a big weaskide when watson is posted. that leaves room for his man to cut to the ball or open space....basically hoyas have to exploit this through subsequent movement and/or passing. somebody is gonna be open.

shots and driving lanes are open on ball reversal vs. their pack line. not a disciplined or effective as before.

they iso a lot for for grosselle, a lot of four around 1 with shooters. . during johnny game was leading conference in fg% at 70 plus. skilled big. 7 footer. will spin baseline over right shoulder from right side. good footwork.

hanson another big...athletic. jumphook over left shoudler..take away his first move, then he seems flummoxed.

they seem to play either grosselle or hanson

they will run some motion, then go to screen and roll for wings. but make no bones about it...they LOVE the three.

millikin can rise up and shoot three. last year a starter, now comes of the bench.

heckner and zierdon are good shooters...effective when the four around 1 gives them space.

they don't have a slew of drivers this year though...so run them of the line. watson will drive though, but again he's driving to pass, not score at rim. rotate size over and make him try to finish at rim. diminutive.

if they are down double digits...they have opted for 1 3 1. not super good at it though. they have also picked up full court man, though again after being down big. that plays into hoyas hands.
