you have to speed them up a tad. much easier said than done. this brunson guy has improved...he's on the controls. try and get ball out of hands...again much harder to do. when he goes by people, loves the jump step, but will go to rim for runner/lay up. strong

can't let him get in a flow. switch defenses (which the hoyas need to do anyway) try and keep him out of the lane! jumping him may help limit effectiveness.

marquette had success with their 1 3 1 defense, but used man also. i would AGAIN switch defenses a lot, including that match up zone the hoyas showed like two games ago. or maybe three. haven't played it much. hope jt3 is hiding it.

bridgers is a MUCH better shooter than last year. don't know numbers but you feel he can actually hit it now.

hart is still beasting can shoot better and create shot better. still a straight line driver, so rotate over!

this paschal guy from fordham was a good pickup. athletic forward.

jenkins is the shooter, but they also post him midrange. he's gonna end up trying to fade out off it most times. make him pay defensively, where he can't really guard. take him, then pass to someone when help arrives, and it will.

their mini runs kill you. mini run, mini run, then they are up 20.

they sag man..but then will throw a match up man type defense. hard to diagnose.

when they are in man, look for skips.

they will throw a 1 2 2 3/4 press/trap back to man. be patient.

they are susceptible to post play..smallish team this year. pound them if you can. pound them. also go five out/high...then duck in bigs on posts. marquette did that.

in fact they went five out, and cut also. the princeton stuff could work! but SOME outside shooting is necessary (obviously)

take advantage of running chances. you need easy points.

be patient overall , as uva was .
